​​​​​​​The Easter Rising relates to Breaking Barriers in History because it helped make Ireland independent by breaking from Britain’s rule. Even though it failed, it inspired future republicans to win independence for Ireland. The barrier of British rule had caused many troubles in Ireland. Many died in their hands. The Rising proved that even small numbers can stand up to the might of the British army. Even though the leaders were executed, they lit a spark that would burn down the British rule in Ireland. Without the Easter Rising, Ireland might not have become what it is today.
